Highly stable mixed halide perovskite quantum dots synthesized in the presence of fluorous ligands

Abstract This work probes the potential of fluorous fatty acids as stabilizing ligands in synthesis mixed halide perovskite quantum dots (MHP QDs). Traditionally, MHP QDs are synthesized presence oleic acid (OA) and oleyl amine (OAm). Here have been used along with OA OAm to yield higher stability. Increased fractions molecules reaction mixture require process be carried out at a temperature due distinctive temperature‐dependent mixing behavior perfluorinated ligands. Best functionalized solution showed 9% decrease their photoluminescence (PLQY) over 30 days compared 27% those without. The composition during influences size, form optical properties QDs. Further situ addition non‐carboxylic (thiols) also shown give similar improvements stability ligand functionalization studied this presents new method improve MHP‐QD while providing thermally controlled handle tune structure nanoparticle films.
